What Mellamo Is

Mellamo is a baby name discovery app that uses machine learning to learn your preferences and suggest names you'll love. It's free to use.

Your Account

• You can use Mellamo without creating an account (anonymous swiping)
• Creating an account lets you save progress, access matches, and pair with a partner
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• One account per person, please

Acceptable Use

Don't:

• Attempt to access other users' sessions or data
• Spam the API with automated requests beyond normal use
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the ML model or extract the name database
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

The ML Model

Mellamo's machine learning matches are generated based on your swipe history. They're suggestions, not guarantees. The model improves as you use it, but results may vary. We don't guarantee any particular match accuracy.

Couples Feature

When you pair with a partner using an invite code, both of your swipe preferences are compared to find mutual matches. Either partner can leave the couple at any time. Leaving removes the pairing but does not delete either person's individual swipe history.

Service Availability

We aim to keep Mellamo running reliably, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally take the service down for maintenance. We're a small project, not a Fortune 500 company — please be understanding.

Intellectual Property

• Baby names are not copyrightable (they're facts)
• The Mellamo app, design, and ML algorithms are our intellectual property
• Your swipe data belongs to you

Limitation of Liability

Mellamo is provided "as is" without warranties. We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. This is a baby name suggestion tool — final naming decisions are entirely yours.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
